Children’s Privacy Notice & Parental Consent
Effective September 25, 2026 · Last updated September 25, 2026
This notice explains how Tier 1 Baseball LLC (“Tier 1,” “we”) handles personal information about players under 13 in the T1 Home app (the “App”), as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and the FTC’s COPPA Rule. It is part of our Privacy Policy. We apply the same protections to players aged 13–17 as a matter of practice.
1. Who we are
Tier 1 Baseball LLC, 6 Bellemore Dr., Unit E, Bedford, NH 03110 · info@t1erbaseball.comWe are the only operator collecting children’s information through the App.
2. How the App works for children
- Children do not create accounts. A parent or legal guardian creates the family account and adds each player’s profile.
- Information about a player comes mainly from the parent and from Tier 1 coaches and staff (for example, attendance, evaluations and game statistics).
- In the future, a parent may authorize a limited player login. A player login can only see the player’s own schedule, team feed and development information. It cannot send private messages to adults or other players.
3. Information we collect about a child
| Information | Required or optional | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, date of birth, age group, team, jersey number, position | Required to participate | Rosters, age eligibility, scheduling |
| School, School grade, uniform sizes | Optional | Team placement and uniform orders |
| Health and safety notes (allergies, conditions, medications) | Optional | So coaches can respond safely |
| Attendance, evaluations, training points, assessments, game statistics, coach notes | Created by staff | Player development and parent visibility |
| Photos and video of the child | Optional; parent can opt out | Team feed, coaching feedback |
| Posts or messages written by the child (only if a player login is enabled) | Optional | Team participation |
| Height and weight | Optional | Player development, strength and conditioning planning |
| Perfect game profile link | Optional |
We collect only what is reasonably necessary for the child to take part. We will never require a child to provide more information than needed to participate in an activity.
We do not collect a child’s precise location, contacts, biometric identifiers, or government ID, and we do not use persistent identifiers to track children across other services.
4. How we use a child’s information
Only to run the program: rosters, schedules, communication with the family, player safety, player development records, bookings, and keeping the App secure. We do not use children’s information for third-party advertising, marketing to the child, profiling for third parties, or training artificial intelligence models.
Social media release. Photos or video of your child appear on Tier 1’s own website or social media accounts only if you have signed our social media release. That release is separate from this consent, is not required to participate, and can be revoked at any time for future posts by emailing us.
5. Who sees a child’s information
- The child’s parents/guardians in the household account.
- The child’s coaches and Tier 1 staff who need it.
- Teammates’ families see only the child’s name, jersey number and position on the roster, and team photos or posts the child appears in (unless you opt out of photos).
- The public, through Tier 1’s website and social media — only photos or video (and any name or team details the release allows), and only if you signed the social media release.
- Service providers that host and operate the App. They may use the information only to provide services to us and must protect it.
We do not sell children’s information and do not disclose it to third parties for advertising or any purpose that is not integral to the App. If that ever changes, we will ask for your separate, specific consent first — and you may refuse it and still use the App.
6. Parental consent
By using the application you consent to our collection of any information about your child for use in the App.
7. Your rights as a parent
At any time you can:
- Review the information we have about your child (visible in the App).
- Correct it.
- Delete it, or delete the whole player profile.
- Refuse further collection or use — email us. Your child may then no longer be able to take part in App-based features; we will explain what that means before we act.
- Opt out of photos and video of your child being posted.
We verify that requests come from the parent before acting and respond within 30 days.
8. How long we keep it
| Information | Kept until |
|---|---|
| Player profile and development records | 1 year after the player’s last season, or sooner if you ask |
| Health and safety notes | You remove them, or the profile is deleted |
| Photos, video and posts | The profile or team space is deleted |
| Consent records | As long as we hold the child’s information, plus 3 years |
After these periods, we securely delete the information. We do not keep children’s information indefinitely.
9. Security
We protect children’s information with a written information security program, encryption, database-level access controls that limit each user to what their role permits, staff training, and an annual risk review. We require our service providers to maintain reasonable security.
10. Changes
If we make a material change to how we collect, use or disclose children’s information, we will notify you before applying the change.
